What Is Water-Soluble Embroidery?

Water-soluble embroidery (water-soluble lace) is a major category of embroidery lace, it takes water-soluble nonwoven fabric as the base cloth, through the computer flat pole embroidery machine embroidered on the base cloth, and then through the hot water treatment to dissolve the water-soluble nonwoven base cloth, leaving a three-dimensional sense of lace.

01 Production process

Water-soluble lace production process is different from other lace production process and is not simply the use of machinery can be completed, the biggest difference between water-soluble lace is through a “boiling” process, is this process makes the water-soluble version of the load when the needle treatment is different from ordinary plate making.

The stitching method used in the production of water-soluble lace is different from other lace, which does not require many stitches. The most common stitches are “plain stitches” and “plain wrapped stitches”.
